Frisco Tap House

Reckless Ramen

For my loyal readers, you know I’m limited to soft foods for a few days thanks to a recent root canal. I decided to adjust my attitude, turning this limitation into an opportunity.

I kept hearing good things about Reckless Ramen at Frisco Tap House. My only knowledge of ramen is the dried brick of noodles with a flavor packet or two. These brick-a-soups are extremely cheap, salty and caloric, ideal for a kid just starting out on his own. I lived on them for years.

Well, Reckless Ramen is not your kids ramen. Offered every Thursday, all day (11:30 am – 10:00 pm), this soup is by no means a limitation. It is slightly sweet and salty with just the right amount of hot spices for a lightweight like me (although there’s plenty more hots on the side). The noodles taste fresh and the broth is packed full of flavor. This delicious soup almost, and I stress almost, makes getting a root canal worthwhile.

For more info, check out Frisco’s page on Reckless Ramen. You can disregard the time posted. I can confirm that it is served all day; I had a bowl around noon this Thursday. BTW, the name Reckless refers to Frisco’s brewery, not because it’s a wild and crazy soup.

Cheers!

Warren
