More Beer Reads

Columbia, MD October 6, 2018

After a short break to the Shenandoah Mountains, I’m back. It has been a great week. Big Meadows Campground, Va was beautiful but wet, Punktoberfest at Frisco Tap House was a lot of fun, and Sapwood Cellars‘ Grand Opening was very successful.

And, oh yeah, I now have a new drinking glass.

22-oz. glass from Punktoberfest

This is Saturday, which means I have found a few craft beer “reads” for that quiet moment this weekend. Enjoy!

Sorry, dBear, but according to ChowHound, Pumpkin Ales are here to stay. Also, keeping with the seasonal theme, here are a few foods to pair with a pumpkin ale.

For a big HopNose birthday, I provided some Hop Bullet from Sierra Nevada, which the Chicago Tribune named beer of the month.

Learn about a trendy beer style (a personal favorite), the Milkshake IPA. A bucket list brewery, Tired Hands, was instrumental in developing this unique and delicious beer style.

If you feel scholarly and want to experience beer, try attending Nick Nichols’ Craft Beer Discovery, a noncredit class offered through Howard Community College this October 26th from 7-9 PM at Gateway.

Cheers!
