A Snowy February

This February has been cold and snowy. I’ve kept myself occupied, shoveling (my back is aching today), cross country skiing, and having my latest homebrew most nights.

When it snows, shoveling is a chore but afterward, I head over to Blandair Park North for a little playing in the snow. I often see wildlife but today I was hoping to spot an elusive creature.

As luck would have it, we actually captured a close-up shot of the seldom seen, Jesus Snowman.

At night, I taste test my latest homebrew, Lemon Ginger Remedy. It is a pale ale made from honey, home-grown ginger, and lemons. I love it. It’s light enough to have more than one and goes great with meals. There’s not enough ginger for this ginger hound but the subtle mix of honey, malt, lemon, ginger and hops is a delight.

We still need to label the bottles. Hopefully we can do that before I drink them all. Below is the image we intend to paste on the remaining bottles. Dipping the paper labels in whole milk works surprisingly well as an adhesive.
