Lost Beer Reads Found

I discovered this post in my draft folder, for some reason unpublished and forgotten. Just consider this post as a bonus. (My version of turning lemons into lemonade).

For my loyal readers who may have missed my posts, I’m back. I had a few beer adventures over the past month but elected to take a little vacation from this blog. For this Saturday, I’ve discovered a few craft beer reads for your amusement. Enjoy.

Guinness Draught
Guinness Draught at Open Gate

USA Today, ‘The pint has landed’: Guinness launches US-exclusive Over the Moon Milk Stout. I’ve sampled Guinness’ Milk Stout at Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore (actually Halethorpe). It is a delicious beer.

VinePair, The Dark Beer That Fueled The Founding Fathers. I have read of George Washington’s favorite beer – Mr. Hare’s Porter. Wouldn’t it be fun to make porter (recipe included in the article) that our founding father’s all were wild about?

Euronews, Giant beers, tips and 15-hour shifts: A day in the life of an Oktoberfest waitress

gofundme, Pub Dog Staff Support Fund. The explosion on August 25th in Columbia has left many out of work. This gofundme page allows you to support those staff of the closed Columbia Pub Dog.

Carroll County Times, Ahead of Carroll County Beer Week, past and future converge at Union Mills HomesteadPerhaps this restored mill could grind some barley malt for Mr. Hare’s Porter? Maybe next year?

Cheers!

Warren

  1. You write so much about beer, but I have never seen you write about wine and that is disappointing. I would like to know your views on the most expensive wine in the world.
