Beer Reads from Texas

Houston, TX November 3, 2018

It is a beautiful day in Houston, Texas – 70 degrees and sunny. This afternoon my family will be celebrating a wedding at …. wait for it … a brewpub, City Acre Brewing. Today’s beer adventure has lots of potential which I’m sure you will be reading about in a future post.

No matter where you are, whether it’s sunny and warm Texas or chilly and rainy Maryland, I’ve picked out a few craft beer reads to mull over this weekend. So, take a few moments, curl up with your favorite electronic device/beverage and enjoy!

It looks like the Brewers Association (BA) is in a dilemma; their largest contributor, Boston Beer, is morphing away from craft beer and BA is proposing changing the definition of a craft brewery. I’d love to know your opinion on this.

Pierce, DBear and I attended an event featuring beer historian, Ron Pattinson at Maryland Homebrew which I posted about, to read about it, click here. DC Beer gives a full report of Ron’s visit to MDHB, DC Brau and Blue Point.

Apparently, Vegan Avocado Beer is a Thing Now; Here’s Where to Find It.

Monument City and Goetz Candy team up to make a milk stout. Sounds yummy!

You can now get your face on the head of Guinness beer but not at their Baltimore facility.

Cheers!

Warren
