Warren’s Diet Plan

I love craft beer. Why? It tastes good, it’s always fun to have with friends, it’s relatively inexpensive, and craft beer seems to be everywhere. Unfortunately for me, drinking beer leads to weight gain. I think I’ve come up with a way of managing my weight AND continuing to enjoy craft beer.

My plan is simple. I will use my love of beer to actually help me lose weight. I’ll weigh myself every Saturday morning. If I lose a pound from the previous week, I can drink beer; if I don’t, no beer for me until the next weigh in. As an added bonus, if I get below 200 lbs., Mrs. Adventures and I will be headed to some tropical island for a vacation.

I keep a fairly healthy lifestyle, limiting my simple carbs and staying active. For me, my biggest challenge to weight control is mindless snacking. In theory, this simple diet plan will help me pay attention to what I eat and cut down on my snacks.

On Saturday, September 1st, 2018, I weighed in at 222.6 pounds. I’m hoping to report weighing something less than 221.7 lbs next week with a beer in hand.

Cheers!

Warren

  1. Good luck… My rule is that I have to choose my carbs. If I have Pasta, Pizza, the bun of a burger, etc.. etc.. That’s a beer I can’t consume. Same rule applies for simple sugar dishes. So the choice becomes.. Do I want an Ice Cream or Hefeweizen ? The choice is obvious to me 🙂

    1. Thanks! I guess I’ve been choosing the Ice Cream AND the Hefe. LOL. Looks like I’ll have to rethink that approach.

    1. Thanks! I think I’ll need lots of luck and support, especially during the holidays.
