Weekend Beer Reads

I’m taking a break from dealing with the leaves in my yard to put together this Saturday post. You should take a break, too. Here are a few things happening in the beer world.

Fall leaves

I’ve taken the Harpoon Brewing tour in Boston a few times. It is a very large regional craft brewery. I’m not sure how to feel about Harpoon acquires Clown Shoes.

Sales for light beer, the leader in beer sales for many years, is on the decline. Food and Wine asks, Do You Drink Light Beer?

Brew Dog, a British brewer, has made beer from melting polar ice caps. I particularly enjoyed the picture of a polar bear wearing a baseball cap with the words, “Make Earth Great Again” in the article,  Think While You Drink, The Beer That Fights Climate Change.

Apparently, Halloween is not the boon for Fells Point that I had imagined. Learn more about this in Some Fells Point bars, restaurants plan to close early for Halloween.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention, this blog has been nominated by Crabbies 2017: Help pick Baltimore’s best blogs, podcasts and more. Thanks for your support!

Cheers!
