Weekend Reads

Ah, summer. Hot days and muggy nights. Crabs and beer. And juicy garden fresh tomatoes. For me, my garden is pumping out tomatoes faster than we can eat them. We are planning a crab feast for visiting relatives in a few weeks. This week, I have finally started moving on the Maryland Brewery Challenge, visiting number 20 last Sunday and planning number 21 (Falling Branch) this weekend. It is good to have beer loving friends to help me along with this project. Life is good.

So, on this beautiful weekend, find a quiet moment to savor a beer and ponder over these articles about your favorite beverage.

USA Today helps you imagine getting away from your little corner of the world with Breweries Around the World.

These two interesting articles contradict each other. First, Bronston Beer Bulletin algorithmically using Beer Advocate’s data to provide The Top 100 Beers on Planet Earth Annotated. Vinepair turns our obsession with constantly ranking beers and pleading us to stop ranking beers in the humorous, Pliny the Elder is Now Bad or Something Like That.

Here’s DCBeer’s August 4th, 2017 edition of Screaming Into the Void to provide their own selection of beer related news.

Last, let Liz Murphy of Naptown Pint give you an insider’s view of the Reform on Tap Task Force with the following article.

Reform on Tap Task Force: Maryland Brewery Production and Taproom Limits (2nd Meeting)

Cheers!
