Brooklyn Pint Night

Columbia, MD (November 29, 2017)

It’s Brooklyn Brewing Pint Night at  Frisco Tap House and that means I’ll be sipping on a Black Ops. Black Ops is Brooklyn Brewing’s bourbon barrel-aged intense Russian Imperial Stout.

Black Ops is delicious. Creamy and smooth, it is a mellow blend of bourbon and chocolate flavors.  I look forward to savoring this sweet stout each year, right after Thanksgiving. Warning: it is expensive – $15 a 10-oz pour and high in alcohol – 10.5% ABV.

Other Brooklyn beers served at Frisco:

-Black Chocolate Stout; Russian Imperial Stout, 10%, untappd: 3.85
-Cloaking Device: Imperial Porter. 10.5% untappd: 3.72
-Defender IPA: 5.9%, untappd 3.5
-Lager: 5.2%, untappd 3.5
-Post Road Pumpkin Ale: 5%, untapd 3.28 (lots of cinnamon in this one)
-Winter Lager: Swartzbier, 5.6%, untappd 3.5

There is big news at Frisco, tonight. Our regular server, Brooke, will no longer work on Wednesdays, the Pint Night crews’ regular night. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, dBear.

I spent some time with Reckless Ale Works brewer, Ryan Yerdon.  After a very long wait, Frisco’s new brewery is expected to be fully licensed by Howard County on Tuesday. He has many beers lined up for release in this 20-barrel system. His first beer from the new system is a Helles Lager. Ryan says he expects to see Reckless beer available all over the state of Maryland.
