Saturday Beer Reads

Brrr, it’s cold outside. I think I’m finally ready for winter. I’ve drained and brought in my hoses and shut off the outdoor faucets. Also, I brought in all my frost-sensitive garden plants. Check out this weird triple-headed cabbage from the garden.

So, put on your warmest sweater, find a warm cozy spot and take a few moments to catch up on the beer world.

As a bicyclist and lover of beer, this Ohio brewery trail for bike riders is right up my alley. They call their trail Brewed on the Bikeway. Howard County, Maryland has its own non-beer related Bikeway. Perhaps HoCo could pick up some ideas from Ohio.

I missed the last of Comptroller Franchot’s Reform on Tap session, but Liz Murphy of NapTownPint and DCBeer keep us up to date.

Enjoy a little autumn splendor from Brewed in Maryland.

Yesterday, I met Chris Sands of Uncapped Podcasts at Olde Mother in Frederick. Watch his interview with Ty of Hysteria.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  We like to have a pumpkin beer after dinner served in brown sugar rimmed glasses  – yum! For the main dinner, we usually stick to wine. The New York  Times offers an alternative, To Pair With That Thanksgiving Bird, Consider Beer.

Cheers!
