Saturday Beer Reads

Good morning, craft beer lovers! It is expected to reach the mid 80°s today – a beautiful day to get outside. I’ve found a few articles about beer to read when you need a little downtime. So, prop up your feet, open up your favorite beverage and enjoy!

October is the time of festivals. The Great American Beer Festival in Denver is on my bucket list, but it’s not in the cards for this year. Fortune Magazine offers their take on this great festival in These Are the Most Popular Beers at the 2017 Great American Beer FestivalAnd the Denver Business Journal gives their 29 must-try brews at the Great American Beer Festival.

The Baltimore area also has a few festivals of their own. Read about the today’s Baltimore Craft Beer Festival from the City Paper. That is just a warm-up for Baltimore Beer Week (Oct 13-22). This event officially kicks off at the Das Best Oktoberfest.  Howard County will host the Craft Beer Discovery on October 13th.

Keep up-to-date about Anne Arundel County’s newest brewery (opening in December),  the Crooked Crab, with their brand new newsletter.

I love the impact breweries are having on our distressed communities. Read Food and Wine’s Is Beer Saving Cincinnati’s Neighborhoods?

Arianna Auber of Austin360 asks Have pumpkin beers overstayed their welcome? Not even close. I agree and plan to celebrate the mighty pumpkin at Frisco Tap House for their 6th annual Punktoberfest on October 26, 2017.

Cheers!
