Lagunitas, Mug Club and Mr Trash Wheel

Frisco Tap House, Columbia, MD

It’s only logical. Once you drink 99 unique craft beers, most at a world-class level, your 100th should be a Natty Boh chugged from a bottle. It was Lagunitas pint night at Frisco Tap House and Laura was reaching mug club status.

The Wednesday night crew trickled into the back room near the fish tank. I sampled a Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale before the festivities. I thought it was delicious, a well-balanced pale, a great blend of malt and hops.

The Lagunitas rep, Kenny, came by the table and handed out some bling before his raffle. Kenny gave away 3 posters. DBear won the last poster and gave it to Laura in honor of her new mug club status.

The moment had arrived. We clinked glasses and…

chugged down our Natty’s (Actually, most of my beer dribbled down onto my chin.)

I wrapped things up with a Peabody Heights Mr. Trash Wheel’s Lost Python Ale. Mr. Trash Wheel removes rubbish from the Baltimore Harbor. It is powered by the river’s current. I passed around this beer tribute to Mr. Trash Wheel on this momentous night.

Many thanks to Missy for providing many of the pictures.

Cheers!

  1. Judging my the angle of the beer bottles I’d say Keith won the chugging contest. Congrats to Laura on Mug Club status…
